Learfield Sports’ Bronco Sports Properties Selects KTVB as Boise State Television Partner

 

Boise, Idaho (Jan. 25, 2010) – Bronco Sports Properties, a property of Learfield Sports and the exclusive athletics multimedia rights holder for Boise State, announced today that a five-year agreement has been reached with NBC affiliate KTVB-TV to be the Broncos’ flagship station.

 

The partnership makes official the continuation of KTVB’s broadcasting of Bronco games, coaches’ shows and other related programming. The station has held the rights for the last five years, and fans will be accustomed to watching football games on Channel 7 as before. KTVB’s sister station, KTFT (NBC affiliate in Twin Falls), will broadcast various Bronco programming as well.

Under terms of the new agreement, Bronco Sports Properties will assign the following programming as follows:

 

Boise State football games not already committed to ESPN through the WAC partnership or other conference agreements will be broadcast on KTVB Ch.7.1

Other Bronco games, including, at a minimum, three men’s basketball games, will air on KTVB 7.2 “24/7”

Coaches’ shows for football and men’s basketball will air Sunday nights on KTVB, Ch. 7.1

KTFT will carry Bronco football games and the Chris Petersen Show on Sunday nights

All other Bronco games; will be seen in Boise and Twin Falls on “24/7”

KTVB 7.2 “24/7” will also tape delay Bronco football games it aired live up to three times

Additionally, we’ll be evaluating announcers as we strive to assemble the best broadcasters for Bronco Nation.”
