Fresno State Athletics and its exclusive multimedia rights holder, Bulldog Sports Properties, announced today that a six-year radio agreement has been reached between Fresno-based One Putt Broadcasting and its stations KFIG 940 ESPN and KFPT 790 ESPN “The Deuce”.

Beginning with the 2013-’14 athletic season, terms of the agreement call for KFIG (940 AM ESPN) to air all football, men’s basketball and baseball games and one-hour seasonal coaches’ shows.  Additionally, select women’s basketball, women’s volleyball and softball games will be heard on KFPT 790 ESPN “The Deuce”.   Various broadcasts dedicated to Fresno State Athletics and increased promotional opportunities for Fresno State Athletics are other highlights of the deal.  Bulldog Sports Properties, a property of Learfield Sports, oversees all aspects of the Bulldog Sports Network.

Peak Broadcasting historically has held the radio rights for Fresno State.  “We appreciate the opportunity to create a new partnership with Chris Pacheco, John Ostlund and One Putt Broadcasting and expect outstanding coverage and programming to follow.  At the same time, we’re extremely grateful to Todd Lawley, KMJ and Peak Broadcasting for their commitment and dedication to bringing Bulldog game action over the airwaves to fans for so many years,” said Fresno State’s Director of Athletics Thomas Boeh.

“We’re happy that 940 AM ESPN will serve as our new radio home for the Bulldog Sports Network in Fresno and throughout the Central Valley,” said Bulldog Sports Properties’ General Manager Steve Borland.  “We are very pleased to put the Bulldog broadcasts on KFIG, a 50,000-watt AM station with an ESPN sports format.”

According to One Putt Broadcasting co-owner and former Fresno State football player Chris Pacheco, this marks a new chapter in the company’s Fresno State history books.  “There’s no question we’re excited to be carrying the Bulldog Sports Network, and we’re confident we will continue to build on the legacy that’s been established.  We were drawn to this opportunity because of the tremendous academic and athletic reputation that Fresno State Athletics possesses.”
