DURHAM, N.H. & LOS ANGELES – The University of New Hampshire athletic department, FOX College Sports and Wildcat Sports Properties have announced a 15-game multi-sport package to air live on FOX College Sports during the 2013-14 season. In addition, FOX College Sports will air UNH’s monthly magazine show Inside Wildcat Country for the upcoming season.

UNH Wildcat Productions will produce the games with production partner Pack Network. Wildcat Sports Properties, a property of Learfield Sports, manages the comprehensive multimedia rights for UNH Athletics.

“Broadcasting UNH athletics nationally with our partners at FOX College Sports once again this season is a major opportunity for us,” Tom Wilkins, Associate Athletic Director for Communications said. “FOX College Sports’ national reach allows fans, parents, alumni and prospective students to see the University of New Hampshire and its premier athletic programs. We are excited that UNH fans viewed our telecasts in record numbers in 2012-13, and we look forward to sharing another exciting season of Wildcats’ athletics with our great fans across the country through this television package.”

The 15-game package will feature nine men’s ice hockey games as well as two games each for men’s basketball, women’s basketball and women’s ice hockey. The first broadcast of the 2013-14 season is Friday, Oct. 18 (7:30 p.m.) when the UNH men’s hockey team plays the University of Michigan in its home opener at the Whittemore Center.

“FOX College Sports is excited to partner with the University of New Hampshire for a second straight year,” said Gary Ehrlich, Executive Vice President, FOX Sports Networks. “We look forward to continuing to showcase these student-athletes to a national audience, making it easier for family, friends and alumni to follow the Wildcats.”

“We’re excited to see our television coverage continue to expand this season,” Wildcat Sports Properties General Manager Justin Barnes said. “This partnership with FOX College Sports allows us to reach a national audience with our broadcasts and that’s a great thing for Wildcat Country.”

UNH Wildcat Productions broadcasts home games for 12 of its 20 varsity sports via UNHWildcats.tv and AmericaEast.tv. All told, UNH will produce over 100 games, including the 15 on FCS, in the 2013-14 season.
