STARKVILLE, Miss. – Mississippi State Athletics and its multimedia rights holder, Bulldog Sports Properties, announced today a multi-year corporate partnership with Mississippi’s own Polk’s Meat Products effective this athletic season.

Based in Magee, Miss., Polk’s is now known as the “Official Meat Company” for Mississippi State, providing Bulldog fans Polk’s sausage and a new hot dog made especially for the university. Polk’s will be available for purchase at Davis Wade Stadium during football games, at Humphrey Coliseum during men’s and women’s basketball games, and at Dudy Noble Field, Polk-DeMent Stadium during baseball games. The Bulldogs’ new corporate partner also serves as title sponsor for Polk’s Diamond Classic, Feb. 28 – March 2, hosted by Mississippi State Baseball and featuring visiting teams Michigan State and Eastern Illinois.

Polk’s partnership benefits also allow for numerous exposure opportunities for the brand during football, basketball and baseball seasons including product sampling and venue signage.polk

“We have been a part of Mississippi State athletics for some time now, but it wasn’t until recently that we decided to become a full time partner. It just seemed to make good sense having two phenomenal brands from the same state supporting one another,” said Polk’s Meat Chief Executive Officer Julie Breazeale. “I’m excited about what is in store for our company as a result of our partnership. The fans of Mississippi State must be picky since ‘Picky People Pick Polk’s.”

“We’re pleased to have an agreement in place with Polk’s Meats, a relationship that we anticipate building upon each year,” said Bulldog Sports Properties General Manager Don Williams. “Not only is Polk’s a respected brand of choice, we’re proud to associate with a company that’s headquartered right here in Mississippi. We think Bulldog fans will love having Polk’s in the MSU Athletics family.”
