Red Raiders will play eight home games on Texas Tech TV on FOX Sports

LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech has announced its baseball television schedule for the 2014 season as the Red Raiders will play eight games on Texas Tech TV on FOX Sports in conjunction with Red Raider Sports Properties, a property of Learfield Sports.

The eight home games on Texas Tech TV can be seen on FOX College Sports, FOX Sports Southwest or FOX Sports Southwest Plus as part of the third-tier rights package signed with FOX Sports in 2013.

Tech’s first home televised game will be Friday, Mar. 7 against New Mexico State at 6:30 p.m. for game three of a four-game series with the Aggies at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park.

“It is a great opportunity to have eight of our home games televised on the FOX Sports network,” second-year head coach Tim Tadlock said. “Not only is it outstanding for our current players families to watch us throughout the season, but it’s also a great situation for our alumni, supporters of Texas Tech University and our recruits in this region and across the country to watch Texas Tech baseball on FOX Sports.”

The Red Raiders will play six televised games in Big 12 play on FOX Sports, including two games against Texas (Mar. 28 and Mar. 30) and a pair of games against Oklahoma (Apr. 25 and Apr. 27). Tech will also have televised home games against Kansas State (Apr. 13) and West Virginia (May 15) while taking on Prairie View A&M (Apr. 18) in non-conference play.

For the second straight season the Red Raider television broadcast crew will be made up with play-by-play announcer Robert Giovannetti and Mike Gustafson, who will serve as the analyst for the broadcast.

Network and game times are subject to change.
