Learfield Sports and TuneIn Extend Partnership to Make 19 Learfield Schools’ Broadcasts Available on TuneIn for Free

PALO ALTO, Calif. and PLANO, Texas – TuneIn and Learfield Sports today announced an extended partnership in which TuneIn will carry every play-by-play broadcast and additional college football content from 19 Learfield Sports’ university partners including Alabama, Wisconsin, Louisville, Texas A&M, and Penn State. This new addition of teams will improve Learfield’s worldwide distribution of digital programming, and add to TuneIn’s extensive list of over 85 college teams.

Building off the existing relationship TuneIn has with Learfield Sports’ partners in the Pac 12 — Stanford, Oregon State and Colorado — Learfield will add 16 new schools from the ACC, Big Ten, Big 12 and SEC, including Alabama, Missouri, Texas A&M, Louisville, NC State, Wisconsin, Penn State, Indiana, Iowa, Northwestern, Purdue, Minnesota, Illinois, Kansas State, Oklahoma State and Texas Tech. This partnership with Learfield Sports adds to TuneIn’s comprehensive college football list of over 85 schools, including its 53 schools from the power five conferences including Florida State, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State and USC.

Every college team will have its own branded 24/7 channel on TuneIn, giving fans everywhere access to team–specific, live play-by-play, pre-game and post-game shows, live weekly coaches shows, and new and archived game replays. In addition to football content, TuneIn will carry live basketball coverage for each of the participating Learfield Sports’ school partners when the season begins in November.

“TuneIn has already proven to be an impactful addition for the university partners we represent in the Pac 12, so we’re excited to extend this offering to even more schools this year,” said Learfield Sports’ Senior Vice President and Chief Content Officer Joe Ferreira. “We’re constantly looking at ways to reach fans regardless of location or device, and the TuneIn platform gives us another powerful application to deliver our highly sought after home town live sports programming.”

“We are thrilled to further extend our relationship with Learfield Sports and add 16 new teams to the growing TuneIn college sports offering,” said Kevin Straley, VP of Programming at TuneIn. “This is a historic season for college football as it enters the playoff era, and we are excited to make it easy for fans worldwide to hear hundreds of games from nearly 100 schools.”

TuneIn has the most comprehensive free college football and basketball coverage in the industry with thousands of live games from every major conference, including the ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, Pac-12, SEC, AAC, MAC and WAC.
