BRONX, N.Y. – For the first time in school history, Manhattan College will outsource its comprehensive athletic multimedia rights in a multi-year agreement with Learfield Sports, a rightsholder to more than 100 collegiate properties nationwide with a deep concentration in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Regions.

The partnership is effective immediately, and Learfield will vet a general manager to oversee the establishment of “Jasper Sports Properties” to work alongside the athletic administration on a daily basis. This local Learfield entity – dedicated solely to Manhattan College – will manage all aspects of the Jaspers’ rights including signage, digital, corporate sponsorships, television and radio play-by-play, and coaches’ shows.

Print“We are very excited to enter into a relationship with Learfield Sports,” said Manhattan College Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Noah D. LeFevre. “This partnership is a major step forward for our athletic program and will assist greatly in enhancing our athletic brand on a regional and national level. Learfield Sports represents the gold standard in collegiate marketing, and we look forward to teaming with them on a number of different projects.”

In addition to the initiatives of Jasper Sports Properties, Manhattan College will benefit from the complementary efforts of Learfield’s National Sales team which builds larger platforms across multiple collegiate properties with corporate America. Regionally, Manhattan College will join other Learfield partners such as Seton Hall, Army, Fordham, UMass, Penn State, the Patriot League and ECAC. Manhattan also is a Learfield Licensing Partners client.

“We at Learfield are very pleased to be working with Noah and his team to further the Jasper brand across many platforms,” said Learfield President and CEO Greg Brown. “We are confident that we will be effective in connecting sponsors with the important story of Manhattan Athletics.”
