Partnership includes post-graduate scholarship for Patriot League student-athletes

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – The Patriot League and Learfield’s Patriot League Sports Properties announced today that Bob McCloskey Insurance will become the preferred sports insurance provider for the League beginning immediately.

Partnership benefits provide Bob McCloskey Insurance the opportunity to interact with athletic administrators and sports medicine staff through unique partnership events. It also will allow for Bob McCloskey staff to educate Patriot League administrators. The preferred sports insurance partner will also have Championship event integration featuring venue signage and a digital presence throughout Patriot League Championship events.

In addition to traditional sponsorship elements, Bob McCloskey Insurance will provide one Patriot League student-athlete with a post-graduate scholarship for his or her excellence on and off the playing field. Student-athletes graduating during the 2016 semester will be the first eligible class to apply for the scholarship.

“On behalf of all of us at Bob McCloskey Insurance, we are very pleased to be a corporate partner of the Patriot League,” said Senior Vice President of Bob McCloskey Insurance Peter Ginnegar. “We look forward to developing strong relationships with the conference membership, and hope that our post graduate scholarship will in some small way allow a deserving student athlete to pursue their future endeavors.”

“The Patriot League is enthusiastic to work with Bob McCloskey Insurance as a strategic partner,” Patriot League Executive Director Jennifer Heppel said. “It is acutely important that the agreement provides funding for post-graduate studies for Patriot League student-athletes who excel in the classroom, field of play and within their respective community.”
