LOGAN, Utah – Utah State University Vice President and Director of Athletics John Hartwell and Learfield’s Aggie Sports Properties, the multimedia rights holder for USU Athletics, announced Friday a partnership with Larry H. Miller Sports & Entertainment that KZNS 1280 The Zone, based in Salt Lake City, will be the new flagship for Aggie Athletics beginning this fall.

“This partnership with Larry H. Miller Sports & Entertainment will give Utah State Athletics more control over advertising, coaches’ shows locations, and overall production of each broadcast,” said Hartwell. “This will also give USU Athletics additional advertising opportunities throughout Cache Valley and the Wasatch Front to promote Aggie Athletics.”

KZNS 1280 The Zone will air all Aggie football and basketball games on 1280AM and 97.5 FM, while all USU women’s basketball games will be streamed live on the internet. Aggie fans can also continue to tune into all broadcasts free of charge via the internet at www.utahstateaggies.com.

“The Zone Sports Network has been a radio partner of Utah State Athletics for the past six years,” said Jeremy Castro, Senior Vice President of Broadcasting of Larry H. Miller Sports & Entertainment. “We are thrilled to further our relationship and expand our coverage as the broadcast home and flagship station for the Aggies.”

In addition to live broadcasts of every Aggie football and basketball game, KZNS 1280 The Zone will produce and broadcast weekly football and men’s basketball coaches shows from Logan, along with one-hour pregame and 30-minute postgame shows for both football and men’s basketball.

Utah State will announce radio affiliates for both football and men’s basketball at a later date.
