PALO ALTO, Calif. – Stanford University football fans living in the San Francisco Bay area will continue to find Cardinal game action on the Sports Leader KNBR 1050 AM through the 2019-20 season.

The Cumulus Media-owned radio station extended its relationship with the Cardinal in an agreement with Learfield, Stanford’s rights and broadcast partner that manages all aspects of the radio network.

Stanford opens the season on Saturday, August 26 against the Rice Owls at 7 p.m. PT, in Sydney, Australia. Fans can visit GoStanford.com to see the complete Cardinal football schedule. Tickets for the home opener at Stanford Stadium against UCLA (Sept. 23) can be purchased at GoStanford.com/tickets.

“We couldn’t be more excited to strengthen and extend our partnership with Stanford Athletics. Cardinal Football will continue to be synonymous with KNBR 1050 and we are looking forward to kickoff on Aug 26th,” said Jeremiah Crowe, KNBR 680/1050 Program Director, Cumulus Media-San Francisco.

“We’re thrilled to continue our partnership with KNBR and the Cumulus family,” said Tommy Gray, Stanford’s associate athletics director for external relations. “Our local listeners can expect the same high-quality coverage they’ve become accustomed to when the season kicks off from Sydney on August 26.”
